Selected projects

§10, a Self-Improving Knowledge Base

A local-first knowledge base that reads my notes, repos and PDFs, summarizes them with local LLMs, and injects the right memory into my coding sessions. Every injection is scored against what actually helped; a nightly job re-tunes retrieval on its own branch, never silently. 323 sources, 1294 topic pages, 268 tests, one 6 GB GPU. Open source as §10, the data stays home. Full case study: https://sashavergolini.com/work/s10.md

Digital Product Passports

The rendering engine behind digital product passports for fashion: QR microsites and on-page widgets for 35+ production brands, major Italian luxury and denim labels among them. One config-driven master template, 40+ reusable modules, single-source color, a live preview API. A brand went from roughly 1,000 lines of bespoke code to about 100 lines of config, and from days of setup to one or two. Built during my year at Renoon. Storefront Analytics: Pixels and Customer Events

The three-path event architecture that gets widget events into each brand's GA4 whatever their stack, including a Shopify customer events pixel for stores with no GTM at all. Wired during my time at Renoon. Full case study: https://sashavergolini.com/work/analytics.md

Procedural Dungeon Generator

Houdini + Unreal Engine + Python. A dungeon laid out procedurally in Houdini, each floor exported to Unreal as an interactable HDA so changes land quickly: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/YBkBQb

Procedural City Generator

Houdini + Unreal Engine + Python. A fully generative landscape with HDAs that build walls, windows, towers and doors, recombined randomly or with tight art direction, editable in Unreal by the game artists: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/QX0eWx

The Home Server

A 2011 HP ProBook running 32 containers on Arch Linux and 5.7 GB of RAM: Pi-hole, Plex, Home Assistant, Nextcloud, Vaultwarden, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tailscale. It also serves this website.

This website

React + Vite frontend, Node/Express backend, self-hosted on the home server above and published through a Cloudflare Tunnel. Server-injected metadata, markdown for agents, and a read-only MCP endpoint at https://sashavergolini.com/mcp.

Widgets in Shopify Storefronts

Three routes into a live theme: a pure JS loader on the storefront AJAX API, a GTM custom HTML tag with locale routing, and inline theme embeds. No app install, nothing for the brand's developers to maintain.
